Osmio VRD's part is now done
The Osmio Vital Records Department (VRD) has reviewed your identity claim and has digitally signed your Osmio ID Pair.
The P12 file is protected by the password you provided in Step 2. The password is needed to protect the secret PEN that’s in the P12 file, since the P12 file will be stored in an ordinary folder.
The P12 file is an IT standard format for a portable description of a certificate and its “key pair.”
Your operating system and browser will take it from here
The Osmio Vital Records Department is not involved in this final part of enrollment, except to provide you with easy-to-follow instructions for saving and importing the P12 file into the secure place – the "keystore" – where your functioning Osmio ID Pair will live on your device.
These instructions are specific to the operating system and browser you are using right now.
The P12 file will now be handed off to YOU to follow the process required by your operating system and browser, to convert that P12 file into a working Osmio ID Pair.
Actually, your Osmio ID Pair itself doesn’t exist quite yet.  Rather, it has been created in the form of a P12 file – a condensed, portable version of your Osmio ID Pair.
